Musicians turned into writers revert in Nashville

Some of the the best and brightest songwriters around tackle fiction in a new story collection from Melville House, Amplified: Fiction from Leading Alt-Counry, Indie Rock, Blues and Folk Musicians, launched last night with a sold-out performance by some of the musicians who contributed to the collection — Robbie Fulks, Mary Gauthier, Jon Langford and David Olney — at the storied Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennesse … which was followed up by with a reading at the mighty indie bookstore David-Kidd, just down the street.
