As it turns out, librarians are funnier than intergalactic conglomerates

MobyLives has been assiduously avoiding the Old Spice Guy video craze that took over the planet last week. Why? 1. Because it’s stupid, and 2. Because we don’t want to plug Old Spice, for chrissakes. However, we do want to plug the below parody of him, which comes to us courtesy of the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University. Why? 1. Because it’s made by someone who isn’t trying to sell anything other than a good idea for the culture, and 2. Because it’s genuinely funny.

Dennis Johnson is the founder of MobyLives, and the co-founder and co-publisher of Melville House.
