Introducing #FreeBookFriday

Everyone loves The Ghost Network. You will too, soon.

Everyone loves The Ghost Network. You will too, soon.

Inspired by #FreeArtFriday and Books on the Metro, we’re introducing #FreeBookFriday today, a celebration of books, free things, and hashtags in New York City (and perhaps, later, beyond—but just not yet). Here’s the deal: we’ll be leaving copies of Catie Disabato’The Ghost Network across the city (probably just Manhattan and Brooklyn, though maybe Queens) and posting clues regarding their whereabouts on our Instagram and Twitter pages. We’re really excited about The Ghost Network—I just missed my subway stop reading it for the second time, if that tells you anything—and we can’t wait for you to be excited about it too.

If you’re lucky enough to find a book, we hope you’ll take a picture of it with the hashtag #FreeBookFriday and tag us on your chosen medium for sharing mundane details about your personal life. Oh, and read it. We hope you do that too!

Happy hunting,

Melville House
