Jason Segel is currently filming The End of the Tour, a biopic of David Foster Wallace which is based  on the book Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip With David Foster Wallace by David Lipsky. I am not against this on principle. In fact, I have no strong feelings about it and generally like both Segal and Wallace and hope the movie is good.

But.

But someone put a picture of Segel as Wallace on Instagram late last week and it looks very silly. Like really, really silly. I have been thinking about how silly it is for the last three days. Obviously, that doesn’t affect the film at all. But it is just very silly. To borrow from Gawker, I can’t stop looking at it.
