Knopf to start knitting imprint
by Dennis Johnson
In recognition of the fact that “the audience for fiction is overwhelmingly comprised of women,” America’s snootiest publishing house, Alfred A. Knopf, has announced a line of knitting products, reports Coco Cabrera in a urNews story.
“There will still be books,” Knopf spokesperson Mureilla Pent says of the new line, Knopf Knitting, “but there will also be wool and acrylic yarns in a range of yummy colours.”
Dennis Johnson is the founder of MobyLives, and the co-founder and co-publisher of Melville House.
