Mark Bittman on the cow bomb

by

Still need inspiration for those get-fit, eat-better new year’s resolutions? The mere fact of a number on the scales higher than you’d prefer not enough to get you to change your diet? Well, maybe thinking hard about where your food comes will offer some inspiration. Try this video from TED of Mark Bittman talking about how the industrial food system contributes to global warming (remember that?), expands waist lines, and is complicit in the general level of bad health in the developed world. Also Bittman, not incidentally, contributed the forward to this book for which Melville House will be hosting an event tonight. Enjoy.
