‘Rambo’ author going straight to Kindle

by

An Agence France Presse report says that, “David Morrell, whose novel First Blood inspired the “Rambo” movies starring Sylvester Stallone, released his latest book exclusively for Amazon’s Kindle electronic reader on Tuesday.”

The new thriller, entitled The Naked Edge, is available exclusively at Amazon’s Kindle Store for one year. He is also offering nine of his previously published books, all for $9.99 or less.

The publisher of the Kindle edition is something suspiciously called “Morrell Enterprises.” Not Hachette or Random House or Perseus, the publishers of Morrell’s real world books. Very suspicious, indeed. Has somebody decided to keep their e-book rights and make a go of it themselves?

This should be a very interesting case to watch….
