"Technology Petting Zoos" coming to a library near you

If you thought Barnes and Noble was getting a tad aggressive with all the construction of new tables for Nooks — sacrificing perfectly good bookshelf space for, well, books — and you’ve been looking to libraries as a refuge to commune with your bound ink and paper friends, you may soon find that refuge is at risk from the e-reader stampede. Via Shelf Awareness yesterday we learned that the Fairfield Public Library in Connecticut has just opened their new “technology petting zoo.” Here’s a comic that may sum up the experience for a few patrons who clearly are not early adopters.
