As we reported yesterday, publishers and other organizations like Bowker have continued to strike back against Amazon‘s efforts to claim exclusive use of new top-level domains being offered by ICANN. In response to that article, we were put in contact with an insider at Amazon who passed on a list of other top level domains the retail giant is seeking to register for their exclusive use. Some are more benign than others, but all would seem to indicate a dangerous hubris. See the list below.

There’s no word yet whether publishers will extend their battle to cover these other more abstruse domain requests. Something tells me they might not.
