The melodrama of publicity…

Shelf Awareness directed us towards this humorous author-created move by Andrew Ervin to promote his debut novel Extraordinary Renditions. Though obviously camp, the video captures pretty effectively the poor fate of the recently published novelist as it dawns on him that the cruelly brief opportunity for media attention has passed… and the rapturous joy when, against all odds, his book is reviewed anew.
