by

Just a day before his extradition case will be decided before the British Supreme Court, Julian Assange debuted a new episode of his TV show. His guests: a number of Occupy activists, including Melville House author David Graeber, author of Debt: The First 5,000 Years. Asked to explain why Occupy was such big news around the world, Graeber replied: “There is nothing that terrifies the US government so much as the threat of democracy breaking out in America.”

Kelly Burdick is the executive editor of Melville House.
