Today is Ada Lovelace Day, an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM)!

For those who don’t know, Ada Lovelace was the unsung pioneer who wrote the first computer program (in 1842!). Her life story is told beautifully in Ada’s Algorithm by James Essinger, which comes out today in paperback. And we’re giving away a copy to one lucky reader!
