Your Twitter feed printed on toilet paper

by

Welcome to MobyLives, your number one source of toilet paper-related news. In January we revealed to Herman Melville fans the world over what’s been missing from their lives: their favourite seafaring epic printed on bog roll. Now this newest of print media is showing its aptitude for more of-the-moment content: in these glorious days of spring 2012, you can have your Twitter feed printed on four rolls of toilet paper. Or someone else’s Twitter feed printed on four rolls of toilet paper. For $35. In an economic crisis.

Apparently the first batch of printings has already sold out, so somebody must be buying into this. If nothing else, the concept suggests the lasting appeal of reading something tactile, though I wouldn’t want to analyse it much further than that.

The most important question is, who will be the first person to send a roll to Jonathan Franzen?
