Be first in line for…

by

No, not the iPhone4 (besides, you can order the damn thing online anyway)!  Something even better.  The Salahis are shopping a book!

Yes, the infamous White House party crashers have somehow managed to write a book and get an agent to shop it around for them (if you’re interested, call Sharlene Martin–other fun famous clients include Mary Jo Buttafuocco and CNN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell).  Of course, this is in addition to their roles on the upcoming reality TV show “The Real Housewives of DC.”  (Don’t expect it to be nearly as good as New York).

What could the book possibly about?  Good question.  It is not a memoir or anything of the sort.  It is, well, about the night they crashed the State dinner hosted by the Obamas!  So no, it was not a publicity ploy to get attention for their book.  Rather, they had nothing to write about until they gatecrashed!

According to a report from the ever-reliable Page Six, the Salahis have teamed up with “investigative reporter Diane Dimond” to reveal all of the insider details… of crashing a party.  How they stretch that cocktail party banter into an article, let alone a book, remains to be seen.  (Chapter 1: how we found out there was a party; Chapter 2: the moment we decided we wanted to go; Chapter 3: how we made the agonizing decision over what to wear…).  Well, Dimond promises it will be bigger than just that.  She told the New York Post, “As I began to investigate, I realized the Salahis’ story is much bigger than what’s been reported…”  What are they, spies?!?  Oh, and according to the Huffington Post, the book is partly “a critique on White House security.”
