Melville House at the Brooklyn Book Fair 2013

The Brooklyn Book Festival was held this past weekend on a crisp, sunny fall day. Thank you to all who stopped by the booth! Below you’ll find a few images of people who stopped by the booth and what they bought.
Sam Westley bought Derek Raymond’s I Was Dora Suarez and The Train by George Simenon. “I read a review of Derek Raymond in the New York Review of Books,” he said.
Peter Cherces bought La Boutique Obscure by Georges Perec. “I ♥ Oulipians and the MobyLives blog,” he said.
Alexandra Branzburg bought Half the Kingdom by Lore Segal “[Melville House publicist] Nick recommended it to me and I trust his taste,” she said.
Arielle Holstein bought Aurorarama by Jean-Christophe Valtat. “I was reading the description for his new book, Luminous Chaos,” she said. “I thought it sounded up my alley and I figured I’d better read the first book to start.”
Shaakya Vembar bought two novellas. “I haven’t read these authors and one of them deals with insanity,” she said.
Gijon Polite, a highschool nutrition teacher bought The Stop by Nick Saul and Stuffed and Starved by Raj Patel.
Jenn Northington bought Luminous Chaos by Jean-Christophe Valtat. “Dustin made me read Aurorarma, so I’m excited to see this next book,” she said.
