Occupy Amazon!

by

We came across Jon Stich‘s Occupy Amazon coasters and buttons (see photo) at Diesel bookstore’s website and fell in love. Stich, the artist-in-resident at maybe the most cutting-edge, independent bookstore in Los Angeles, has really done a great job with this campaign. What better way to let the Man know that you’re onto him than to advertise it with Jeff Bezos‘s screaming visage? If you’re in California, stop in Diesel for a free button or find them at an Occupy event near you.

Jon Sitch/Diesel weren’t the first to suggest a revolt against Amazon, however. In a Shelf Awareness report in October about a Michael Moore appearance before the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association — where Moore was asked if he’d consider yanking his books from Amazon, and he didn’t say no — Bridget Kinsella queried in late October: “Will this NCIBA lead to an Occupy Amazon movement?” Well, Diesel did it first.
