What books the President is buying
by Melville House
POTUS and family was recently spotted at Kramerbooks in Washington’s Dupont Circle doing some early holiday shopping near his office. The Washington Post even has a video of the photo op, which took place this past Saturday. (See the video below, in case you’d like to see President Obama wandering around the store, offering his winning smile, and waving to the press.)
The Hill reports that the trio bought the following titles:
The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz
Tails by Matthew Van Fleet
The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
Diary of a Whimpy Kid: Cabin Fever by Jeff Kinney
Zen Shorts by Jon Muth
The Tiger’s Wife by Tea Obreht
Descent into Chaos by Ahmed Rashid
The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selnick
What books would you suggest the President give this holiday season and who should receive them? (We’d like him to offer all Republican candidates David Graeber‘s Debt: The First 5,000 Years, while also keeping a copy for himself. Hey, one can make a wish, right?)
