Arnold Scharzenegger's letter to the Cailfornia State Assembly

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's letter to the California State Assembly

Who’da thunk it? Das Guvernator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, known for his brawn and bluster and not necessarily his i.q., likes to play word games. What’s not so surprising: He plays them like a twelve year old.

The background, as detailed in this San Francisco Chronicle report: After Schwarzenegger made a surprise visit to a Democratic party fundraiser being held at San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel last month, assemblyman Tom Ammiano told the governor to “kiss my gay ass.” Ammiano explained, “people were talking about how unfortunate it was the Governor…was so missing in action on issues so important to San Francisco. Then I noticed the dye job out of the corner of my eye.”

Scharzenegger managed to “laugh it all off,” says the Chronicle.

Maybe not.

Flash forward two weeks, to this page one story from the Chronicle, brought to our attention by the mighty Bookninja, which also originates from a place that starts with a capital C: Ammiano’s bill AB1176 — “a rather mundane bill meant to help San Francisco’s port with finance issues” — is vetoed by Schwarzenegger, who sends it back with a note. The first letter of each line of the note — easily readable as an acrostic down the left side of the page (see photo) — spells the phrase: “I FUCK YOU.”

Coincidence? We don’t think so.
